Exhibition of Lukáš Kubec called Šumava Safari introduces a new theme in the Artwall Gallery project. The current exhibition leaves the realm of the city and concentrates on Czech countryside. However, this seemingly neutral gesture of a romantic photographer presenting us with the landscapes populated by nice animals and industrious people, cannot free itself from the political context reflecting on our ideal projections of a cultural landscape and its photographic representation, while at the same time showing how our expectations change together with the changing appearance of the countryside.
